Since 2019, Mr Silas Edmonds, MA. First headship. Previously spent 11 years at Surbiton High, starting as vice principal, becoming senior school head five years in and adding role of acting principal late in 2018. Before that, assistant head at Wallington County, where he’d started as senior English teacher in 1999.

The chance to take the hot seat at a ‘genuinely independent school’ – he says he’s effectively CEO here as well as principal - was understandably hard to resist. Education gene is ‘in the blood’. Absorbed many classroom management techniques from his teacher mother, who’d bring him to work when he was off sick from his own school. His wife, former headteacher at a special school, is now CEO for Farms for City Children.
