Space and trees - what luxury for a school so very near to London. The old buildings lend character and style, but the new buildings provide fabulous facilities. The usual wide range of countries represented, but this is the most English of the three ACS schools in the UK because it only does IB, rather than the American curriculum, and so has a stable core of students who are wedded to this. Students are ‘taught to think’ and parents are pleased that children are ‘independent, organised, and it is up to the child to get their work done’...

ACS Egham, is an international school that offers the International Baccalaureate Programmes for children from ages 3-18 years. It is the only school in Britain that is authorised to offer all four International Baccalaureate Programmes: the Primary Years (PYP), Middle Years (MYP), Diploma (IBDP) and Careers Related Certificate (IBCC) Programmes. Located in leafy Surrey, on the edge of Windsor Great Park, the student population comprises almost 60 different nationalities, as well as local UK families. International Baccalaureate: diploma - the diploma is the familiar A-level equivalent.
International Baccalaureate: middle years - middle Years is a programme for ages 11-16.
International Baccalaureate: primary years - primary years is a programme for ages 3-12.
Other features
All-through school (for example 3-18 years). - An all-through school covers junior and senior education. It may start at 3 or 4, or later, and continue through to 16 or 18. Some all-through schools set exams at 11 or 13 that pupils must pass to move on.

Head of school
Since 2022, Mark Wilson BA, PGCE, NPQH. After a degree in drama from de Montfort and a PGCE from Middlesex, Mr Wilson spent the early years of his career in the UK, but moved into the international system over ten years ago, joining Nord Anglia Education in 2009. Spells as head of the British International School in Shanghai and latterly as principal of the British International School of Houston preceded his move back to the UK. As well as teaching theory of knowledge on to IB students, he has contributed to the training of teachers and has been involved in leadership projects both within Nord Anglia and for the Department of Education.
