Victoria is in the heart of Abersychan. It is a mixed ability school but children learn according to their stage of skills development not age. Skills ladders have been carefully constructed so that parents and teachers can work alongisde one another to ensure each child is learning to their potential.

Special Education Needs
We have 3 statemented children and 33 children who are on the COP. Most of these children are only on initial stage 1 and are provided for through basic skills reinforcements. They are extracted within groups and individually to work on specific things contained in their IEPs. We have an NNEB who works with these children and they liaise with the head teacher and also the SENCO. We are have an adapted room to become a base for these children to work with all the support materials that they need. For the forthcoming year we are targetting boys' underachievement in literacy.
