What the school says...
Waterman Primary Academy is a friendly, caring, family school. There have been many developments over the last year as we aim to provide the very best education we can for the children in our care.
We strive to ensure all the children at Waterman Primary Academy will be able to maximise their potential through highly effective teaching and learning and the many opportunities we provide for enrichment of the curriculum. Developing an enjoyment for learning, through respect and team work, so that everyone achieves their best, is something that all involved take great pride in.
Waterman is a growing school. It will have a new fourth classroom in September 2013 for The foundation children. The rest of the classes are mixed as follows; years 1 and 2, years 3 and 4 and years 5 and 6.
The school was judged Good again by Ofsted in March 2013 and has achieved many awards such as the Healthy school award, Basic skills award and International schools award. ...Read more

If there are more applicants to a school than it has places for, who gets in is determined by which applicants best fulfil the admissions criteria.
Admissions criteria are often complicated, and may change from year to year. The best source of information is usually the relevant local authority website, but once you have set your sights on a school it is a good idea to ask them how they see things panning out for the year that you are interested in.
Many schools admit children based on distance from the school or a fixed catchment area.
