What the school says...
At Waverley, we combine a caring family-feel with outstanding academic results. We are extremely proud of our ranking as a Times Top 100 Prep school for the 4th consecutive year (The Sunday Times Schools Guide). We are therefore the No 1 primary and Prep school in the Wokingham/ Crowthorne / Bracknell / Reading area and the top Prep School in West Berkshire. These rankings are based on our strong academic track record. Our results are even more exceptional given that we are a non-selective school.
Our priority at Waverley is to challenge every pupil to achieve academic excellence. We recognise however that only happy children, who feel supported and confident, learn to the best of their ability. Waverley's unique cheerful, nurturing environment enables every child to succeed and reach his/her full potential. Our pupils just love coming to school every morning at Waverley! As soon as you walk in, there is a vibrant buzz of excited children who are happy, thriving and learning.
Our academic success is also reflected in the exceptional exam results of our Year 6 students and the secondary schools they move on to - most of our students attain scholarships, or places at selective secondary schools.
We operate small class sizes, giving each child individual attention and enabling us to closely monitor every child's progress. Our school is modern and purpose-built, enabling daily achoo-life to flow and function easily. Our family atmosphere means that our teachers not only know every child by name - they also know what makes your child tick. This warm ethos is also visible amongst our children who play with each other freely across the year groups in the playground. ...Read more
