What the school says...
Ysgol Gymraeg Llundain, The London Welsh School, was established in 1958.
It is located in Hanwell Community Centre in Ealing. It is a non-selective co-educational day school for pupils between the ages of 3 and 11 years. The school is registered to admit a maximum of 40 pupils.
The school consists of three mixed-aged classes. Class one - Nursery and Reception; Class Two - Years 1,2,3 and Class 3 - Years 4,5 and 6. Pupils are taught in both Welsh and English.
The school is run by a board of directors on behalf of the Welsh Schools Trust Limited and provides ‘bilingual Welsh education outside of Wales'.
In the latest Ofsted Inspection, 22-24 January 2023, the school received a Good. The previous inspection was in 2018 where it also received Good with Outstanding in Personal Development.
In addition to the fees, the school receives a grant from the Welsh government. No child is turned away and the school has a Bursary fund to assist families in need.
The school runs wrap care from 8am to 6pm. On the same site, we have a parents and toddler group, Miri Mawr, allowing a seamless transition for children into the school's nursery. ...Read more
