The Good Schools Guide review of Elite IB Tutors

Founded in 2011 by Tim Hoffmann when he was tutoring IB students after gaining his degree in Engineering Science from Oxford two years previously (he’d already scored 44 points for his IBDP from Antwerp International School in Belgium). The company has since grown organically, starting with interns, then appointing permanent staff around two years in. The company now operates in Switzerland, the Netherlansds and Singapore, while the London HQ now has six staff in addition to Tim, and three full-time senior team members working remotely. All are IB graduates and three started as tutors. Families deal with tuition managers Sam or Lawrence (UK, Laura (CH), or Mira (SG), courses manager Frances, or discuss university admissions with Bella, while Tim devotes his time to people management, assessments, partnerships, UCAS support and Oxbridge preparation.

The Good Schools Guide Education Consultants offer assessments in English, maths and in reasoning. Most schools assess these subjects when considering a child for a place. This is especially important for children coming from different countries with different educational systems. But there can be many reasons for checking a child's progress in these basic skills.
