The Good Schools Guide review of Kings Tutors

Instantly likeable and ultra-efficient director Emily Jack (BA in classics and English from Newcastle Uni) founded the company after tutoring for five years alongside her degree and a brief stint working in the financial services. ‘I wanted to set up my own company and I loved the way good tutoring can bring out a child’s full potential,’ she says. Works mainly from the morning room at the Institute of Directors in Pall Mall, London - ‘It’s a lovely place to meet clients and tutors, and the light is wonderful,’ she says; we agree. But if you call in, you’re more likely to get Rosie who, as the main point of contact and in charge of the client management team, helps to recruit tutors and works closely with clients to ensure successful placements.

The Good Schools Guide Education Consultants offer assessments in English, maths and in reasoning. Most schools assess these subjects when considering a child for a place. This is especially important for children coming from different countries with different educational systems. But there can be many reasons for checking a child's progress in these basic skills.
