The Good Schools Guide review of Owl tutors

Former-teacher-turned-banker Lawrence Drew turned to full-time tutoring only to find his previous experience undervalued. ‘They routinely put me forward for tuition jobs at the same rate as people with no formal teaching experience at all,’ he explains. And so Owl Tutors was born in 2011 – an agency that only takes on qualified teachers and pays them well. Drew (MBIOCHEM Hons) has since brought on two other full-time members of staff – partner Mike Davies (BSc Hons in Physics), another former teacher and full-time tutor; and Jenny Katzaros (BA in Classics; MSc in Political Science).
