SEN statement

Provided by the school and not part of our review

All Saints prides itself on being an inclusive school.

Children who are identified as having special needs have provision made to meet their needs in line with the Code of Practice for Special Educational Need and in close liaison with parents. This provision may take the form of a specially planned work programme within the class or additional support in small withdrawal groups. The school works closely with the Authority’s Special Needs Support Services to benefit children at all stages of the Code of Practice, including those with a statement of Special Educational Need. All pupils and staff are given equal opportunity regardless or race, gender, SEN, or disability. We also ensure that our Gifted and Talented pupils are challenged to reach their full potential.

We continually evaluate and develop our ways of working to provide the highest quality of provision for all children within the resources available. The success of our practice in meeting the pupil’s needs is evaluated and monitored by the class teacher, Special Needs Co-ordinator and external agencies through regular reviews and assessments. Audit and the school’s Disability Action Plan shows that the school has made adequate provision for the access and education of disabled pupils as well as raising the awareness of all staff to their needs.

To promote equality of opportunity, we review our accessibility plan to ensure that its planned developments will benefit any disabled users of our school premises.
