SEN statement

Provided by the school and not part of our review

We have a strong team of experienced staff within the department. However, to improve the quality of provision some teaching assistants are working towards the higher level teaching assistant status. Linking this expertise to their respective subject knowledge will strengthen the quality of provision for all students across the curriculum.

Children with long-term medical conditions are carefully monitored and individual care plans are prepared annually to ensure their safety around school. Risk assessments are regularly carried out when the students are engaged in new activities or included on visits. Both care plans and risk assessments are completed with parental input prior to being distributed to staff.
