SEN statement

Provided by the school and not part of our review

We are an independent co-educational day school providing specialised education for up to 90 pupils aged 11 to 19 years with an autism spectrum disorder, autism, Asperger syndrome and associated social and communication difficulties. At Eagle House School (Sutton) we aim to be much more than just a school. Our specialist teaching offers an unique approach to working with learners with autism and Asperger syndrome. We believe we develop the global needs of our children, not just their education. Our children and young people are supported by an experienced, well trained multidisciplinary staff team supported in the classroom by psychologists, occupational therapists and speech & language therapists. We use the Eagle House approach to autism which involves designing our intervention models using the Ziggurat approach, structured teaching (the TEACCH approach) and positive behaviour support.
