At Handsworth Wood Girls' School and the Sixth Form Centre there is a whole school approach to raising achievement of EAL/EM/SEN pupils. There is a well established system in place for:

  1. Effective assessment of each and every pupil on a regular basis and dissemination of all data to all staff responsible for teaching and supporting the student.
  2. Allocation of appropiate resources to support identified pupils
  3. CPD to all staff to maintain their effectiveness
  4. Establishment of strong links with parents/carers to support learning and celebration of success
