What is this?

Facilitating A levels are ones that are commonly needed for entry to leading universities. They are: biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, further mathematics, geography, history, English literature and classical or modern languages. The % of pupils achieving AAB or higher may therefore decrease if many pupils have opted not to take two or more of the facilitating subjects mentioned.

SEN statement

Provided by the school and not part of our review

The Learning Support Department supports pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). This support will be individual to pupils who, while able to access the school curriculum, may need help due to a specific learning difficulty or a lack of confidence in a particular aspect of their work in both prep and senior school. We work to make it possible for every pupil at St Catherine’s to secure strong academic and personal outcomes. Staff are easily accessible to pupils, providing an environment in which the girls feel warmly supported and valued.
