St. John's Catholic Primary School is committed to the inclusion of pupils with special educational needs and disabilities. We currently have a number of children with a wide spectrum of special needs, including children with a hearing impairment, autism, Down's syndrome, dyslexia, behaviour and learning difficulties.

Our fully trained specialist teaching assistants support the children alongside the teaching staff to enable them to access the school curriculum at a differentiated level. Our last OFSTED inspection highlighted the special needs provision at St. John's as a strength of the school.
