SEN statement

Willenhall School Sports College has a sound reputation in the care of SEN pupils. We take care of a wide variety of SEN pupils. We have experience in a variety of medical issues, such as ASD, epilepsy, asthma, Tourettes Syndrome, ADHD and dyspraxia. We have developed some expertise in dealing with the needs of dyslexic pupils. We have had whole school training in ASD, and are now quite experienced in looking after the needs of children with Asperger's Syndrome. We have good access for disabled pupils. The school has a lift, disabled toilet facilities, a toilet management room (ie changing table, fixed hoist, sluice, etc.) We work closely with parents, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and Walsall's senior paediatric consultant. (He holds clinics regularly at school).
