This small school, housed in beautiful surroundings, really is a home from home, complete with dogs and other pets. Flexible boarding and extended days take much of the strain away from busy families: happy children and parents. The Culford Bubble could be a disadvantage, but pupils are well aware life exists outside the grounds. Its strengths are small class sizes, excellent pastoral care and tremendous facilities. Once a Culfordian, always a Culfordian, it would appear.

What is this?
Facilitating A levels are ones that are commonly needed for entry to leading universities. They are: biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, further mathematics, geography, history, English literature and classical or modern languages. The % of pupils achieving AAB or higher may therefore decrease if many pupils have opted not to take two or more of the facilitating subjects mentioned.

Teaching & learning
Good results for a school that does not claim to be highly academic. Spanish and French available at GCSE and A level, and taught in prep as well. All senior school pupils do one language, not many do two and unusual for all three to be taken. Mat
