We have visited Lathallan over the years and met no fewer than six heads. Two (or was it three?) heads ago, the brave decision was made to expand, on a year-by-year basis, to become a fully fledged school, with Highers and Advanced Highers and all. We thought they were nuts, but we were wrong. Very wrong. Lathallan is a remarkable success story which keeps on growing.

Pastoral care, inclusivity & discipline
School small enough for every child to be known (cherished is a word that comes to mind if it didn’t sound so soppy), strong anti-bullying policy. Occasional gatings for wickedness, no child yet asked to leave. School is ‘bespoke, focused’.

Mobile phone policy
A clear mobile phone policy is a really important part of modern schooling. This school has provided us with their policy.
