SEN overview

The King's Infant and Junior Schools (Chester) is a mainstream school. The school may provide support for students with special educational needs as detailed below. If you require more information on conditions the school can support, we encourage you to contact the school directly.

SEN statement

Provided by the school and not part of our review

We have a good provision for children with special educational needs and disabilities and in compliance with the Equality Act 2010, we will not discriminate on the grounds of disability. It is important to note that without an EHC Plan or Statement, The King’s School, as an independent provider of education, is not part of the local authority ‘local offer’. Consequently we are unable to access local authority run specialist support services in the school. The Director of Learning Support is responsible for SEND needs throughout the school and is aided by two members of staff.
