What the school says

Trinity provides a nurturing environment that enthuses, engages and stretches through opportunities to shine, be they in the classroom or co-curricular, so that pupils are supported in developing their individual character. The Trinity journey is about purpose and values combined with a healthy dose of curiosity and fun. Trinity’s caring community - not just its teachers but all involved in and with the school - enable our young people to thrive. Our children simply love coming to school. There may well be the odd bump or wrong turning on the journey but the Trinity family will be there to help.

SEN overview

Trinity School is a mainstream school. The school may provide support for students with special educational needs as detailed below. If you require more information on conditions the school can support, we encourage you to contact the school directly.

SEN statement

Provided by the school and not part of our review

We aim to identify a pupil's special need as soon as possible. We use the results of baseline tests, tests of self-esteem and an ongoing process of monitoring progress by subject and form teachers, to identify a potential learning difficulty. If a learning difficulty is suspected we will arrange for further, more specific, testing, by an educational psychologist with the agreement of parents. The result of these tests, along with recommendations will be circulated to subject teachers, identifying the learning style of the pupil. Extra specialist tuition will be arranged and provided by qualified staff in specialist education. We regard the pupils self-esteem to be of vital importance to their learning and recognise that each pupil, whatever their difficulty, is an individual.
