Georgetown University (Washington DC)
How many students does it to take to change a light bulb at Georgetown?
Four – one to change it, one to call Congress about their progress, and two to throw the old bulb at the American U. students.
What Uni in the USA says...
This Jesuit college was founded in 1789 in Washington DC and has remained a thriving institution for the last three hundred years. Located a stone’s throw away from the centre of American government, it has an informed and politicized scholastic environment.
It is also one of the few universities in America where international students blend right in; it has an acclaimed Foreign Service school which surprisingly, given America’s frequently insular attitude to the rest of the world, actually advocates the merits of being able to locate Europe on a map. As a result of this internationalist atmosphere, foreign students head to Georgetown in droves. And why not? After all, what’s good enough for Bill Clinton should be good enough for you.
