How many students does it take to change a light bulb at Oberlin?
Three – one to change it and two to figure out how to get high off the old one.
What Uni in the USA says...
Oberlin is the sort of college that either represents your idea of seventh heaven or hell on earth. Situated in small-town Ohio, about 45 minutes away from Cleveland, it draws an eclectic collection of students from all over America. The Oberlin student body is known for being progressively liberal, extremely politically correct and just that little bit wacky. Students tend to be experimental, eccentric and decidedly left-of-centre and the faculty members aren’t much different.
Proponents of the traditional Oxbridge or New England system will regard Oberlin as a radical’s joke, but few would deny the strength of its academic reputation or the prominent position of many of its alums.
