About Thalia
Thalia read English at University College, London and then worked first for the NHS and then at the Consumer’s Association where she researched and wrote articles for Which? magazine and headed up their services research group. After starting a family, she moved to north Wales and began freelancing for a range of consumer and trade titles, specialising in education. With two children - now at university - who attended state and independent schools, she says she finds school visits ‘endlessly fascinating - I love figuring out exactly what makes each school tick and speaking to so many interested and interesting people.’ Thalia reviews state, independent and SEN schools across the north of England and has completed the TES EduCare safeguarding training course.
