Since 2012, Stella Ablett BSc (UBC) BEd (UBC) MEd (Simon Frazer University). An educator with a passion for maths who has been teaching within the Metro Vancouver area for over 33 years. Spent 14 years as a teacher and head of maths for the Vancouver


Entrance

Applications are accepted all year round, depending on space, but with a strict four step entrance approach - parents meet the school to discuss goals and see Alcuin, student meets with senior teacher, student attends half day, then finally a meeting


Exit

In 2015, Alcuin proudly saw off its first two graduates. There have been 46 graduates since and senior numbers are growing.

School counsellors start university preparation from grade 10. Universities of choice include McGill University, McMaster

The school taps into the local community for whatever they are missing. No school library? Not a problem, younger ones excitedly head to the local library to exchange reading material daily. Art is taught at the local gallery and then recreated back
