What the school says...
St John's School has a 90% A* to C GCSE pass rate and features in The Sunday Times Top 100 Preparatory Schools list*. We offer a caring education. Children are treated as individuals and nurtured.
Junior School pupils achieve outstanding Key Stage Two results. Of those children we recommended to sit the Grammar School exam, all achieved the consortiums cut off point score and will be eligible to apply for a Grammar School place.
During their Senior Years at St John's we watch our children grow up into delightful young people. Our small and select classes enable us to give every individual the absolute maximum adult input to promote, self respect, respect for others, high self-motivation and high self-esteem - all contribute to the wonderful work ethic we encourage, expect and demand. The young people in our Senior School receive expert and determined teaching from dedicated professionals who truly care about the overall outcomes for their pupils.
*Editor note - many prep schools choose not to sit KS2 tests and so are excluded from the table. ...Read more
