What the school says...

Belmont School provides an outstanding education to boys aged 7-18, with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties. We are a small school dedicated to working closely with parents / carers and local authorities to provide for the individual needs of our pupils and we welcome contact with anyone who has interest in the school. We are also able to offer 24 hour care through placement at our residential childrens home, Hall Carr Farm.

Both the school and Hall Carr are situated in Rawtenstall, in the Rossendale Valley. We are well placed for easy access from the motorway network, particularly the M66, the M60 and the M65. Please take a look at our prospectus, or call our school office, for more information.

At Belmont, our vision is:

that every pupil should achieve his potential and develop an understanding of and respect for himself and others

At Belmont School, we enable our pupils to improve their academic performance, overcome their behavioural difficulties, develop their social skills and raise their aspirations. Many of our pupils have previously had negative experiences of school and feelings of failure and frustration. Through our positive approach to rewards and incentives, underpinned by strong structure and boundaries, our pupils develop self-belief, display positive behaviours and quickly establish a strong sense of belonging to our school. By rebuilding self- esteem and forging positive relationships, our pupils replace failure with success.

Thank the school

Parents and pupils often have cause to acknowledge the help and support they have received from their schools, for example in helping in the choice of further education or careers. "Say thank you" allows you to send a quick note of appreciation to the school in general or to an individual teacher.

This is a thank you to your school, teacher or careers adviser who helped you to get where you are now.

Please fill in the fields below, which we will transform into a letter of thanks from you to them.

Leave blank if you want to thank the school as a whole

Years you were there

Can be left blank but, if you can, think of a few words that will bring a smile.
