Special Education Needs
We cater in the main for children with moderate learning difficulties but we have experience of teaching children on the autistic spectrum and have close links to a special school where all the children are autistic. All our staff have attended training on autism. The children from this special school spend time with us (varying on staff & finance) thus being able to experience a mainstream setting. Parents/Carers are welcome to come into school at any time to discuss problems with the SENCO who is non class based. The SENCO meets with Educational Psychologists twice a term, referrals to other agencies are made when necessary. Copies of our SEN policy are available on request.
