What the school says...

Falcons School for Girls is an independent school based in a leafy conservation area in Putney. Peregrines Nursery School is a co-educational nursery for boys and girls aged 2 to 4.

Falcons School for Girls is a small, family school, the children are confident, cheerful and motivated, the staff knowledgeable, kind and creative, with high expectations. In our fast changing world Falcons School for Girls identify the close links between a pupil’s academic achievement and emotional wellbeing and see the school’s role as essential in preparing children to be happy and successful in the future.

From the moment pupils join the school they are encouraged to be academically ambitious, take responsibility for their behaviour and learning and be curious, positive and resilient, qualities that will accompany them through life if they are embedded at a young age.

Reaching far beyond the national curriculum, Falcons Girls strive to strengthen and enhance the pupils’ learning pathways through carefully planned lessons and activities, supported by a rich co-curricular programme. The school has very clear academic goals proven by an outstanding history of 11+ results.

We are pleased to offer scholarships to girls in Year 4 which last throughout the pupil’s time at the school. These are academic scholarships of up to 25e remission. The scholarship assessments take place at the end of the Spring term and are open to pupils in Year 3.

We also offer Music Scholarships to pupils in Year 4 lasting throughout the pupil’s time at the school. The scholarships will be available to String or Woodwind players. Singers may also apply but must be willing to take up a second instrument offered by the school should they receive the scholarship.

Bursaries are available from the Alpha Plus Group’s charity partner, the Gold Standard Charitable Trust. These are awarded on a purely means tested basis.

To arrange a visit to the school or for more information contact the Head of Admissions, at [email protected] or call 020 8992 5189.
