What the school says...

Faraday is a small but growing independent school in East London. With small class sizes, we strive to deliver a traditional education within a dynamic curriculum to appeal to children of all abilities and personalities. Faraday school is located at a unique riverside setting, within the vibrant and historic Trinity Buoy Wharf. Our children come from the Tower Hamlets, Newham and Greenwich areas, and beyond, with a school bus providing easy access to the school. Some children even travel by boat from North Greenwich Pier! Our exciting range of after school clubs and after school care appeals to working parents. The best way to really get a feeling for our school is to visit and we welcome private tours for entry into the upper years. ...Read more

What the parents say...

This is an amazing school! If you would like to be part of a school that values individuals and a balanced education, this is the school for your child. Small classes mean each child is taught to their ability. While some of the Teachers may not have years of experience, they are passionate, engaging and get the best out of the children. The teacher turnover is dramatically less than any State School, with previous staff returning after moves and further education. My child is currently reading at a level, over 3 years above their age, so they certainly achieve academic results. If you're after a school that is steeped in tradition and all that goes along with that, this is not the school for you. If you're after a young, dynamic, engaging place for your child to embrace their school life, I would highly recommend this school.

My son is in Year 1 and I couldn't be more happy with the school and his progress. The small class sizes give the school a village feel with a strong sense of community amongst the children and parents. The standard of teaching is second to none and the location, whilst remote, has a real buzz with artist stuidios and musicians on our doorstep. All in all it is a fantastic learning environment.

We have one child going to Faraday School and it has been a great experience. I think this is definitely the best school anywhere near Canary Wharf. Learning in the small classes goes incredibly fast. They are way ahead of the curriculum. In addition to the emphasis on reading, writing and maths, the children really enjoy the themes they explore every term. The wide range of after-school clubs are also very successful. It is amazing to see a child going to school so happily every day. The fees are reasonable and the school bus is very useful. I highly recommend the Faraday school.

My daughter goes to reception and our experience so far has been amazing. Fist of all, within less than 3 months she already started reading, doing basic math and is actually asking when she can do her homework, so we obviously couldn't be more thrilled... We really like the club options, but best of all are the teachers, which, judging from how much the children in reception seem to love them, are a catch. We feel very lucky to have found this school, especially as it was completely by chance. I would highly recommend it to people looking for good academic and a very warm and friendly environment for their kids.

My son is in Reception class and we are very happy with the school. The staff are very enthusiastic, friendly and always very happy to go the extra mile to help you. The school puts a strong importance on manners and ethics and the pupils all appear very confident and polite, always greeting you when you walk past them and the headmistress stands outside in the morning to greet the students. The class sizes are great (14 pupils in reception with 1 teacher and a teaching assistant) and my son has learnt so much and loved the school from day one. The fees are very reasonable and has great after school clubs and activities. I would highly recommend this school and I'm sure if you attend one of their open days you will see how happy the pupils are there.

We moved to London almost 18 months ago and my daughter is now in her second year at Faraday school (Year 3). It was the most amazing find - an absolute gem in the most unexpected setting. Prior to moving to Faraday my daughter attended a very good state school however it does not come close when I compare it with what Faraday offers. The teachers are the best I have ever come across, they are all so enthusiastic about what they do and always manage to get the children engaged - my daughters learning has come on leaps and bounds since she joined. Class sizes are kept small so teachers have the chance to spend a lot of 1:1 time with each individual child. They offer an amazing choice of after school clubs ranging from ballet, mandarin, Arabic, guitar lessons, cooking classes to sports club. They also offer a daily bus service which does pick up/ drop offs at key locations in the local area. I would highly recommend you visit this amazing school at one of their regular open days, I'm sure once you can see the great things they do you will have no doubts about sending your son/daughter there.

Our son goes to Reception here and we absolutely love the school. Small class sizes, strong focus on academic fundamentals but with enough play as well, lots of communication with parents and most importantly very enthusiastic and warm teaching staff. Also of note are the little extras - school bus (makes the commute convenient and is a big hit with our son), after school clubs/ care etc.

Thank the school

Parents and pupils often have cause to acknowledge the help and support they have received from their schools, for example in helping in the choice of further education or careers. "Say thank you" allows you to send a quick note of appreciation to the school in general or to an individual teacher.

This is a thank you to your school, teacher or careers adviser who helped you to get where you are now.

Please fill in the fields below, which we will transform into a letter of thanks from you to them.

Leave blank if you want to thank the school as a whole

Years you were there

Can be left blank but, if you can, think of a few words that will bring a smile.
