What the school says...
Farlington School is a co-educational independent day and boarding school, providing an exceptional, all-round education from Reception to Sixth Form. We are located in Horsham, West Sussex, and are very proud to be the only co-educational independent school for ages 4 to 18 in the Horsham area.
Founded in 1896, Farlington School is nestled in 33 acres of beautiful Sussex parkland. Just 25 minutes' drive from Gatwick Airport and within easy reach of Central London and the South Coast, our location is both idyllic and convenient.
At Farlington, our vision is to inspire our students to embrace learning in all its forms. We are a forward-thinking school where academic success and co-curricular achievement are valued equally. Every pupil is nurtured here, and encouraged to fulfil his or her potential whilst engaging with opportunity. No subject is considered off limits; no position of responsibility unattainable.
We are proudly and intentionally a smaller school, where each student is valued and where opportunities abound. Pastoral care is paramount, with the happiness and wellbeing of every student at the core of daily life. Farlington’s ‘can-do’ philosophy instils confidence in our students, enabling them to thrive as they go out into the world and shape their own future.
Our most recent Independent Schools Inspectorate report described Farlington School as providing ‘an excellent curriculum with outstanding teaching’. Our staff pride themselves on an ability to harness your child’s academic talents and their priority is to provide an education which challenges and inspires.

Special Education Needs
At Farlington, our aim is to enhance a pupil’s ability to learn, offering a curriculum that will be accessible and challenging to all. The Learning Support Department acknowledges that each pupil is unique and so supports a tailored programme of study suited to the needs of the individual. The personal development of each pupil is also considered important and all members of staff are responsible for nurturing this aspect of school life.
