Meet Hydesville Tower School at the Independent Schools Show 2018, Stand 214

What the school says...

Hydesville Tower School is a co-educational independent day school in Walsall, providing high quality education for children from age 3 to age 16, as part of a continuing development process which encourages children to achieve their maximum potential. Class sizes are limited in number so that each child is known as an individual with unique needs and talents. The school is situated adjacent to the Arboretum in Walsall and has been established for over 60 years. It is owned by Cognita, http://www.cognitaschools.co.uk/, Chris Woodhead's company. ...Read more

What the parents say...

Thank you to the Hydesville Tower School staff and parents. We have been made to feel so welcome, everyone we have met is so friendly and are genuinely lovely. The pupils are a true credit to the school consistently polite, kind and respectful. It's clear to see they are happy and shine as individuals. The transition for us has been so smooth, our children are delighted with their new school and value the friendships they have made. In just a few months our children have both grown in confidence and ambition. They are encouraged, supported and are given such amazing opportunities within the school and further with an abundance of exciting trips and after school activities. The change in them has exceeded all our expectations. We feel extremely proud and privileged to be part of Hydesville Tower School. We can confidently say it's the best decision we have made for our children's future.

All-through school (for example 3-18 years). - An all-through school covers junior and senior education. It may start at 3 or 4, or later, and continue through to 16 or 18. Some all-through schools set exams at 11 or 13 that pupils must pass to move on.

Independent schools frequently offer IGCSEs or other qualifications alongside or as an alternative to GCSE. The DfE does not record performance data for these exams so independent school GCSE data is frequently misleading; parents should check the results with the schools.
