The Preparatory School for St Albans High School for Girls is a very popular, academically selective school, with a welcoming family atmosphere, offering outstanding pastoral care. St Albans High School is uniquely placed in being able to offer all the advantages of a continuous education in two very different settings. The girls have the freedom to grow and develop in an attractive rural environment, before moving on to the more urban setting of the Senior School, close to the heart of the City of St Albans.

The Preparatory School is set in 18 acres of grounds, within the village of Wheathampstead. State of the art facilities support innovative teaching and the development of independent, creative thinkers who are confident in the use of new technologies. Facilities include specialist rooms for Science, Art, DT and ICT and there is an extensive library. The site includes play areas, an adventure playground, woods and an outdoor learning classroom.
