Since 2011 and the school's inception, Jonny Lakin. Sports science degree from Loughborough. Started out as a footballer playing professionally for Leicester City Academy before injury put paid to his career. Went to university instead, and post-degree planned to take a year out fishing and playing golf. Bored within two weeks so ended up in a local primary helping a child with autism, part time. Was a football coach as well but ‘got hooked by the autism thing'.
He then moved to an autism school, Maplewell Hall, and worked on autism outreach and summer play schemes for children with ASD.
