Not a week goes by without Lee receiving a new enquiry from someone wanting to teach the course. ‘But I am very selective about who I take – only one out of every 50 or so applicants is successful,’ she says.

Tutors charge £40 per 45-minute lesson (or £80 per double lesson lasting 90 minutes if parents want their child to complete the programme quicker) – with no more than 12 single or six double lessons generally required. On top of this, parents must
