Provided by the school and not part of our review

The Learning Support Department staff are accessible to parents, carers and outside agencies at any time. Each child is an individual and therefore has individual needs. The Learning Support Department have weekly one hour insets, these could be from a member of the department, outside agencies or other school members. Insets have included Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Autistic Spectrum Discorder, ADHD, Ethnic Minority, Asylum Seekers, Behaviour Management, Anger Management, Speech and Language and Social Skills to enhance teaching assistants' skills. Currently we have three teaching assistants following courses on the Autistic Spectrum disorder, Speech & Language and Dyslexia. New members of the department are trained and strategies taught to make sure students reach their full potential. Meetings with various subject's teams are ongoing. As a school we are committed to all students who have learning or behavioural difficulties to provide the best possible education we can.
