SEN statement

Provided by the school and not part of our review

Glenwood is a special secondary school for boys and girls who require a personalised curriculum to meet their moderate to severe learning needs, physical, sensory and health challenges and who may be on the autism spectrum. At Glenwood we provide a relevant and enjoyable curriculum that develops the whole child, enabling them to achieve outstanding outcomes and succeed, academically, physically, emotionally and socially. Our curriculum is built on three foundations: communication and advocacy; independence and preparing for adulthood and physical, social and emotional good health. Through our foundations and our values, we offer a broad and rich curriculum where pupils have opportunity to develop their emotional competence, are aware of and appreciate British values, enjoy reading, experience the brilliance of human creativity, learn how to stay safe and learn how to take good care of themselves, inside and out.
