What is this?

Facilitating A levels are ones that are commonly needed for entry to leading universities. They are: biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, further mathematics, geography, history, English literature and classical or modern languages. The % of pupils achieving AAB or higher may therefore decrease if many pupils have opted not to take two or more of the facilitating subjects mentioned.

SEN statement

Provided by the school and not part of our review

We offer targeted foundation learning courses to students on a part-time and full-time basis, with group sizes ranging between five and 16. This provision comprises accredited courses for 16-19 year-olds with a variety of support needs, including those with specific learning difficulties and behavioural, emotional and social difficulties. Some learners undertaking these courses have progressed from the special schools sector.

In addition, we have courses for adults with learning difficulties and/or disabilities (LDD) which take place both at the college and in community venues in the local area.

Many learners progress on to higher level provision and/or employment. We also offer the supported internship programme for learners in receipt of an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), with qualified Job coaches to support.
