The aims of The Lancaster School Special Educational Needs Policy are based on the aims stated in the LEA policy for SEN and guided by the SEN code of Practice. We aim to work to ensure high levels of achievement, effective learning, progress and development for all pupils regardless of any special educational need. We make every effort to achieve maximum inclusion of pupils with SEN commensurate with meeting pupils' individual needs. All staff are teachers of special educational needs and are aware of their responsibilities towards pupils with SEN and try to exhibit and elicit a positive and sensitive attitude.
