Radlett Lodge School delivers high quality services to children with Autism and is committed to meeting their individual needs, allowing them to reach their full potential and lead a fulfilling life, in an environment in which they are treated with dignity and respect. Staff are highly motivated, enthusiastic and skilled, in working with children with Autism; and this is supported by a comprehensive training package that is in place for all Staff.

The school believes in strong partnership with the parents and believe this relationship to be central to maximising learning and development of the child across all settings. The school curriculum is designed to be specific to the needs of children with Autism with a clear emphasis on communication, social and life skills. Opportunities are provided for pupils’ development through national curriculum subjects at the appropriate level for the child.

The welcoming residential unit provides places for 13 children to board on a weekly basis and provides, a highly valued, respite care /short breaks service, to pupils both from within the school and externally, at weekends and during school holidays. The school operates an outreach service available to schools in nearby authorities. Dec 09.
