Redbridge High School is a Community Special School for pupils with severe learning difficulties or profound and multiple learning difficulties aged 11 – 19. In addition the school has specialist provision for pupils with severe Autism. The school has well developed links with a number of local mainstream schools. Specialist accommodation includes a small hydrotherapy pool. The school has developed excellent provision particularly for managing pupils with challenging behaviour but also for pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties. The curriculum offered to pupils ages 16 to 19 includes opportunities for work experience and links with local FE colleges and emphasises the development of independent living skills. Students have the opportunity to gain externally accredited awards for their work.
