SEN statement

Provided by the school and not part of our review

Halton School is an approved independent school providing an educational provision for day pupils aged 7-14. All pupils attending Halton School have been diagnosed as having Social, Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties. In particular the school specialises in working with children diagnosed with Reactive Attachment Disorder. Each pupil has an Individual Education Programme enabling the school to offer access to the full National Curriculum including Modern Foreign Languages at an age-appropriate, differentiated level. Halton School is proud of its unique location; a converted chapel which we feel is a perfect setting for our therapeutic educational environment, creating a nurturing provision. The pupils at Halton School also participate in an extensive Outdoor Education programme as part of the curriculum offered here, which includes canoeing, ski-ing, climbing and abseiling.
