SEN statement

Provided by the school and not part of our review

Silverdale is a small school that specialises in work with those who have severe emotional, social and behavioural difficulties. All students have a Statement of Special Educational Needs and most of them attend full-time. Students come to Silverdale following the assessment procedures of the local authority. We are a co-educational school and cater for 8 Key Stage 2 students and 32 Key Stage 3 and 4 students. The school is based in a new building which opened in 2003. It lies within the North Tyneside Local Education Authroity and is situated in the Howdon area. The success of the school is based on high expectations, mutual trust, caring for each other and taking responsibility.
