The school caters for pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties and complex needs. Pupils may have additional disabilities such as cerebral palsy, epilepsy, sensory impairment, and complex medical needs.

Pupils follow the National Curriculum, extended by the school to include a Sensory Curriculum and experiential work. The school has a range of facilities including a hydrotherapy pool, a soft play room, dark room, and specialist rooms for art and cooking. Outside there is a wooden soft play building surrounded by a wild garden and raised flower beds. There is a wide range of therapies including music, dance and movement and rebound therapy (trampolining)
