What the school says

In the heart of Camden, The Cavendish School teaches girls aged 3-11 in a joyful environment where girls dare to follow passions, explore and learn in a supportive and encouraging environment amongst friends. The Cavendish School is a charity and owns its spacious premises, so fees go directly to provide an excellent value education. It is non-selective and relishes the variety this ensures in a warm community that takes London’s cultural mosaic as its norm. At 11, girls go on to a wide range of London’s most sought-after schools and then on to the best universities as spirited, versatile achievers.

SEN statement

Provided by the school and not part of our review

Staff at the Cavendish school pride themselves on the level of personalised learning they provide for all, whether pupils have areas in which they are particularly able or talented, or have specific learning difficulties. Two experienced and highly qualified SEN/learning support teachers work in class, supporting individuals or groups; they also support individuals or small groups out of class. There are children in school who work one-to-one with learning support assistants and children who have EHCPs. Teachers teach from lesson plans which identify children across the spectrum from those who are gifted and talented in that particular subject to those who are SEN. Plans are differentiated to meet six individual categories of need. The Cavendish School values what each and every child brings to the learning community.
