What is this?

Facilitating A levels are ones that are commonly needed for entry to leading universities. They are: biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, further mathematics, geography, history, English literature and classical or modern languages. The % of pupils achieving AAB or higher may therefore decrease if many pupils have opted not to take two or more of the facilitating subjects mentioned.

SEN statement

Provided by the school and not part of our review

Students with special educational needs are particularly welcome in our school. A team of specialist teachers and support assistants provides additional help to students with a variety of needs. We support in class and also withdraw students for additional help. In addition to a 'Support' option in Years 10 and 11, we offer vocational subjects which are accessible to all our students. Among our current students are those with learning, behavioural, physical, emotional and medical needs.

We liaise closely with our feeder middle schools and external agencies and have a thriving 'Student Support' team within school. This has evolved through our role as an extended school and we are able to involve a variety of professionals to support our work with young people in school.
