What the school says

Rudheath Senior Academy is part of the North West Academies Trust since 2018. We are a small but growing school with an ethos of Excellence and Kindness and a mission to "Open Children's eyes to the wonderful world of possibilities." We have state of the art facilities and a staff team who treat the children as if they were our own. Ofsted visited in January 2023 and stated that we were a Good school and said "this school is a friendly and welcoming community. Staff know the pupils well and ensure that they are well cared for."

SEN statement

Provided by the school and not part of our review

University of Chester Academy Northwich (UCAN) has a large (60 places) unit for pupils with moderate learning difficulties.

This unit is a county resource and we draw pupils from a wide geographical area, not just from our school catchment area. We pride ourselves on our inclusive education policy and philosophy and all the pupils in the special unit spend the majority of their time with their mainstream peers, with additional support where necessary. All the pupils in the unit are registered in a mixed ability mainstream form.
