Since 2025, Kath Busby, who has worked at the school for 30 years and is the daughter of the original founder, John Connor (who has also been head here). Mr Connor still visits regularly, the school is owned by his four children and two teach there.

Parents really do put names down early here - from babyhood on - for a nominal registration fee. Firm offers given out (and deposit taken) approx 18 months before starting on a first come, first served basis. Most join at reception (two forms of 16).

Provided by the school and not part of our review Hale Prep School believes that the responsible use of children’s images can make a valuable contribution to the life and morale of the school. 3. We only use images that the head teacher and deputy head consider suitable and appropriately represent the range of activities the school provides and its values. No images that could be considered to put any child at increased risk will be used. Through this policy, we aim to respect young people’s and parents’ rights to privacy and minimise the risks to which young people can be exposed through the misuse of images. The policy takes account of both data protection and child protection issues.
