Selective school, though not all about academics. We were told an anecdote about one pupil who said he had weak English but could play the piano. Turned out he was talented pianist and was given a place. Assessments for senior school take the form of

Pupils are not permitted to use a mobile device, smartwatch or electronic device, including headphones, anywhere in school during the school day (8.30am until 4pm). Mobile phones should be switched off and placed in pupils' lockers or within their school bags if required. They can be switched back on upon leaving the school site. Any student found using or known to have used their phone during the school day will have their phone confiscated and returned at 3.45pm via the reception team.
