A popular and successful prep school that sends pupils off to Surrey’s leading senior schools with a confident handshake and a spring in their step. Parkside parents are purring: ‘The right staff in place for boys’ overall development where the head understands boys and what makes them tick.’ And now, they plan to do the same for the girls.

What the school says

Parkside School is a close-knit, family-centred community where children aged 2–13 are known, supported and encouraged to thrive. Our co-educational nursery and pre-prep welcome boys and girls from the earliest years, with girls joining prep from 2026 as we move towards full co-education in the next few years. Set in 45 acres of Surrey countryside, Parkside offers an inspiring education that balances academic challenge with creativity, wellbeing and character development.

Specialist teaching begins in the early years for PE, games, swimming, forest school and computing, extending to all subjects from year 3. Pupils achieve excellent academic outcomes, progressing to many of the country’s leading senior schools through Common Entrance and scholarship awards.

Sport plays a major part in school life, with children learning the fundamentals from nursery onwards and enjoying a wide variety of sports and competitive fixtures that cater to all levels, abilities and passions.

Parents are warmly welcomed into school life through regular events, fostering a strong sense of community. Families consistently praise the exceptional pastoral care and personalised support, often saying, ‘When you join Parkside, you join a family for life.’

Prospective families are encouraged to visit and experience the Parkside feeling firsthand. Personal tours are offered year-round with the head, and discovery sessions each term give children interested in pre-prep or year 3 a chance to enjoy a morning at school and meet other pupils.
