Mobile phone policy
A clear mobile phone policy is a really important part of modern schooling. This school has provided us with their policy.
Mobile phone policy
Pupils shall never use their mobile phones during the school day. Mobile phones are solely to contact the pupil’s parents or those looking after them before and after the school day. Our pupils who bring a mobile phone into school hand it into the office at the beginning of the day. Computers of pupils may not be used to communicate in any way with friends, other family members or third parties whilst the pupil is on the school premises. Computers are not to be used to take, disseminate or receive photographs or to watch and/or listen to films or music. No gameboys or other forms of electronic devices are to be brought into the school.

Our view
Lessons start at 8am – no dillydallying with registration or assembly. ‘It’s the best time to be wide awake,’ says Mrs Sandars. (Parents approve the early start: ‘It means we can get to work on time.’)
